Inspired by an ancient recipe, this iron gall ink has been used for centuries in manuscripts, including the writing of the Magna Carta. I hand picked the oak galls in Yorkshire with my family and kids, then crafted the ink back in my Manchester studio.
Enriched with clove bud oil to help preserve it, this natural ink has a shelf life of around 6 months. Supplied in a 30ml dropper bottle, it’s perfect for drawing, calligraphy or experimenting with historic inks - a little piece of tradition in every bottle.
